Airesense 11 "for her" -Is this real?

So I am one of those success stories of a sort - no headaches and not falling asleep in front of the TV anymore - content since 2015 with my respironics system one 60 apap. Last year average AHI 1.74. I removed the foam when it was recalled and own a backup machine. My wife had a sleep study this spring AHI 19 and we were waiting the usual horrible 90-120 days for a machine from DME/insurance. So naturally we started therapy with my old backup system one- a little noisy but it works. Her AHI dropped to 7 and she was hesitant to increase the max pressure. Anyway she checked with the DME and they were going to get a resmed so we ordered a shiny new Airsense 11 as a backup and to start while she waited for insurance. Wow was it quiet compared to my old system one without the foam. With her official script with pressure going up to 15 her AHI was now 3. In comes her Airesense 10- she immediately preferred that and the 11 went on the shelf. It was quieter - so I tried it with my usual settings. AHI 0.7 pretty good. As a joke since she lost the for her setting on her 10 - I changed the 11 to the "for her" setting. Today I had my first hypopnea at 230 am. I went a week with NO episodes. This has never happened to me - I have 100 or so events a week like clockwork. Is it really that different? have other people experienced this? I wonder if the machine just does not pick up my events.

Happy but still slightly skeptical.

The "for her" algorithm is named arbitrarily, based on incorrect assumptions about females.
Be assured that this setting can work for anyone, of any/either gender.

There is a youtube video that explains how the"for her" works. If I remember correctly it doesn't pick up many events if you need higher pressures..

Happy to use a "for her" setting - labels are no big deal - anything to lower the AHI is fine.
I would use an Airsense "for kangaroos" setting if they had it and it worked.
It just seemed weird my AHI would be so different across devices given the same mask and pressure settings.

Thanks for the video link LSAT - that video makes sense of my results - seems I might be a good candidate for the "for her' algorithm.
I am not at high pressure (per oscar - med 8.5, 95% 10.2) - I seem to have lots of flow limitations now but no hypopneas or apnea except the one.
It is using lower pressure than my trusty respironics which over the night usually moved me to 11-11.5.
It seems to ramp up during flow limitations before I have an event. My one hypopnea of the week was isolated from flow limitations - I guess it "just happened"

I think it makes sense - somehow the video made it seem so simple.
