Hey guys and gals,
Does anyone have experience with waking up during the night (usually in the first couple hours of falling a sleep) with a pool of fluid in the bottom of there full face mask?
I seem to always wake up during the night with the memory foam at the bottom soaking. I believe it's saliva but can't say for certain. It's disappointing because i'm really determined to get good therapy but feel this is getting in the way as It can wake me up a few times a night.
I have the Resmed AirTouch F20 Full Face Mask with Memory Foam fitted by the way.
added to that I can't properly breath through my nose (for which I'm seeing an ENT about in the next month). Otherwise would be straight on to a nose mask with tape on the mouth as a method for therapy.
Let me know what you think,
Cheers.

It is rain out, either from the humidifier or your breath.
A mask liner could help wick away excess liquid.
A hose cozy could keep the air a little warmer, and create less condensation.
A heated hose helps more.

Just to throw a spanner in the works I took a nap yesterday and my pillow was covered in saliva after. I'm not sure it's entirely rainout.chunkyfrog wrote: ↑Wed Aug 09, 2023 2:29 pmIt is rain out, either from the humidifier or your breath.

Also I take a look at my tubing most nights for droplets or any sign of moisture and never see any. Will definitely give those actions a go if you think it's rainout though.

If you are a drooler, you are in good company.
It beats the heck out of a dry mouth.
It is a lot healthier for your teeth and gums.
Better to have too much than not enough.
