I've been kicked out of sleeping in the same room as my boyfriend because of intermittent noises that I/my machine make when I am sleeping. Here is a 40 second recording of one of the noises:https://drive.google.com/file/d/1K1UXgU ... sp=sharing. Any suggestions on what causes it and what I can do to address it? I have been using one machine, the AirSense 10, for the last ~5 years. I use the Philips Respironics DreamWear mask. This is my first post so apologies if I made any errors/omissions. Thanks for your help!

Is that the machine? Or is it air leaking out underneath the mask causing the mask seal to flutter?

I do not believe it is the normal operation of the machine, it is something else, possibly a leak.ChicagoGranny wrote: ↑Thu Apr 27, 2023 1:50 pmIs that the machine? Or is it air leaking out underneath the mask causing the mask seal to flutter?

You didn't even come close to answering her question.LisaGardiner wrote: ↑Thu Apr 27, 2023 2:43 pmI do not believe it is the normal operation of the machine, it is something else, possibly a leak.ChicagoGranny wrote: ↑Thu Apr 27, 2023 1:50 pmIs that the machine? If you don't know, because you're sleeping, tell your partner to either get his butt into the the spare bedroom, or to help solve the problem.
If it's coming from the mask, the solution is very different than if it's coming from the device.

she's asking where you think the noise is coming from.LisaGardiner wrote: ↑Thu Apr 27, 2023 2:43 pmI do not believe it is the normal operation of the machine, it is something else, possibly a leak.ChicagoGranny wrote: ↑Thu Apr 27, 2023 1:50 pmIs that the machine? Okay so if that noise sounds like a leaky mask to you all, then I will just try to follow protocols for a leaky mask. Apparently there are other noises I make sometimes, so if my recording device picks those up, I'll be back with another post! Thanks all.

It was just one possibility. We don't know the source of the noise.LisaGardiner wrote: ↑Fri Apr 28, 2023 9:43 amOkay so if that noise sounds like a leaky mask to you all,
If you think the noise is coming from a mask leak, find your model mask on youtube and watch some videos on fitting and adjusting.
