I JUST SWITCHED TO A FULL FACE MASK. It seems to fit good, but when I exhale the air does not leave, and it makes it very difficult. Is there a relief valve or something that will let my air exhale out of the mask. Dream Mapper machine thanks
It is a dream Wear mask by phillips.number 113391

Re: PHILLIPS FULL FACE MASK PROBLEM
Which full face mask? There's a long list of models/brands.

Re: PHILLIPS FULL FACE MASK PROBLEM
There are TWO C02 vents on the Dreamwear FF mask, and all you have to do is put your hand up to them to feel the volume of air coming out. One vent is at the top where the hose connects, in the elbow. The other in in the front, those little holes which should be right in front of your mouth.
If you don't feel any airflow from those vents, then check to see that they are not clogged. But if you do feel airflow, then your mask is working fine. It may be you feel that it's not venting because the humidity and temperature are too warm. That makes me feel as if I'm suffocating. But ALL masks are designed to vent out your exhalation, or you would die of CO2 poisoning.
Another thing that can make you feel like you are suffocating is a low CPAP pressure. If you want help with that, let us know your machine and settings.
Also, make sure you've changed the settings on your machine to a Full Face Mask.
Kindly fill in your equipment on your profile, as that will help us help you.

If you don't know the name/model of your mask, look for images on
Cpap.com, the sponsor of this forum.
As mentioned before, ALL cpap masks have vents for expelled CO2,
they may be tiny, but they are big enough to keep you alive.
Moist, rather than dry hands may be able to detect blowing air easier.
