Issues, first night with CPAP

Post by ricky6 » Wed Feb 15, 2023 5:15 am

I'm lying in bed posting this. Tonight is my first night with a CPAP (resmed Airsense 11 autoset, heated hose, dreamware mask).

I can hear a pulsation from the machine, I assume this means I have a small leak?

my mouth is dry, the heat and moisture are on auto, I may need to increase one/both.

I can't find the EPR setting, can it be disabled/enabled by the doctor?

Not necessarily. The machines are very quiet but not always completely silent.

Dry mouth can be an indication of mouth breathing. What kind of mask are you using?

Look in the clinical settings for your machine.

Post your equipment (machine and mask) for more relevant help.

There are Youtube videos that can show You how to access the settings on Your Airsense 11 ..
Look for Airsense 11 autoset setup or adjustment ..
You can access the clinician menu by touching the display then hold 1 finger on both of the
menu squares about 3-4 seconds ..
Good Luck Steve !!
