Please help! SD error message on ResMed s9 “invalid sd card erase card data?” What do I do?

Post by Stinkyntired » Thu Feb 09, 2023 4:32 pm

I started cpap 2 weeks ago I took out the sd card yesterday to send my first report using oscar. I locked it to insert into my laptop and when I removed it I unlocked it to put back into the machine. I went to sleep and I woke up to this error message I’ve tried to lock and unlock it so many times I tried taking it out and reinserting I tried turning off the machine and on again. I even put it back into my laptop to see maybe if I could do something but don’t know what. The data is so important to me cause I don’t think the setting are right (lungs/chest feel exasperated etc.) and want to retain as much info as I can to get help changing the settings. Can someone please help I have a windows and a MacBook

Is the laptop Windows? If so, what version?

This was a common occurrence many years ago when everyone was using the S9 models.

Some operating systems put a little text file on the SD card and while it didn't really hurt anything the S9 models just didn't like seeing that file on the SD card and the "invalid card" message was the result.

I know you said you locked the SD card prior to inserting it in your laptop but perhaps it didn't lock??????

If that is what happened you have 2 choices
1...manually removing the text file and it would require DOS work (I have no idea about Macs).
2...erase all the data and start fresh and that would mean erasing past 2 weeks of data off the SD card.

Oscar will have made a backup of your data, so even if you have to erase the card all is not lost.
* Download Oscar
* Oscar help
* An alternative to Oscar - try SleepHQ
