Thank you all who participated and especially Karen!
This is a great thing for newbies like myself to see a fun side to xpap. With all the post on problems and the difficulties that come with xpap it truly is great to see some fun with it. I think only we hoseheads can really appreciate this.
Thanks again all and especially Karen!
Sweet dreams!

Thank you, coldnose Gary, and all of the others who sent me thanks. However, I only deserve a part of the credit. It was almost totally GoofyUT's idea. I only took his thoughts and put them into a few postings.
However, thank you for the kudos. It was a bit of extra time, although VERY enjoyable time, to put the postings together. It took me back to my Jump Rope for Heart coordinator days! (Only, I don't have to collect money, count it, account for it, mail it in and then distribute prizes!!)
Really, I would like to thank the people who entered. They are really the core of the concept.
Also, let us give a great deal of credit to our prize providers. They are solid forum members who barely blinked before saying, "Of course I'll donate," so props to:

Liam1965/Liam Johnson (should be -www.liam--but it ISN'T! For Liam's humorous book--as little as $3.00 BTW, please go to:
Click here for: Cue Ball City (and Other Bald Musings) )
And, a last word to Chuck/GoofyUT--Thank you for having donated to the Darfur cause to ameliorate and eliminate the genocide in the Sudan. (This was in lieu of Chuck's generous offer of a mask to the winner.)

I would also like to add my thanks to Kathleen, Karen & Liam for donating the prizes. That was very kind and generous of each of them!
And a huge CONGRATS to Joanie (aka Catnapper) on her winning entry "Bagpap"! I loved all your entries but knew that was winner right from it's debut. What a great imagination and cleverness that you showed. And to everyone else, all the entries were fun and creative. I can't wait to see what comes out next year! (will this become an annual event???)

For me, it came down to between that one and the elephant one, which I really chuckled over. (I liked them all, of course, especially since these people had the guts to do something creative, something I don't have...)bookwrm63 wrote:And a huge CONGRATS to Joanie (aka Catnapper) on her winning entry "Bagpap"! (And yes, I realize my book is creative, but it's writing, which doesn't require the same skills as the artistry that went into the entries!)
However, just FYI, I'm just waiting for an address and a name (for the inscription) and I'll mail out the book straight away.
I'm just thrilled that people feel getting a copy of my book falls into the category of "prize" rather than "more junk mail I have to throw away."
Liam, wondering idly why tomjax never entered the contest. >DUCK<

Yeah Liam, I loved the elephant as well and if it let me vote twice, I would've..lol. I was going to do that but when I saw Tom's creation, I hung my head and skulked off to the corner to kick myself for even thinking I could do that! Silly me! Who was I kidding? That is one creative family!
Way to go Joanie and Tom!

Wow!
Hey, thanks everybody! I am so happy people enjoyed our entries.
I can tell you that it was fun making the masks and getting the photos made. t-bone and I have been making crazy art projects since he was a little boy, so it seemed a natural thing to decorate masks together.
Thanks to the real artists who offered the prizes. I am very grateful to you all.
Thanks again to Karen for her organization of the contest and to the other forum members who created those clever masks. Thanks to all who voted.

Not that I suppose this matters to anyone but Catnapper, but the book went out today.
Congratulations again for that wonderful Bagpap design!
Liam, wishing he could find something more creative to do with his CPAP than "door stop".

Well, Liam--
It matters to me, and to Catnapper!! And, I suspect, there are a few more out there to whom it is important.
Thank you very, very much for your prize donation. You have truly contributed to the spirit of the mask contest: Have FUN!
And, what is to prevent you from finding some creative uses for your mask? A tiny cold frame for seedlings comes to mind, but I don't know what mask you had/have.
Best wishes, and anyone reading this: PLEASE, IF YOU ARE ABLE--BUY LIAM'S BOOK!! (The e-book is only $3.00, which is less than almost any xPAP item.)

Come on, he is one of our own and is married with a LOT of kids. Besides, we would like his wife to allow him to keep visiting the forum.
Thank you to Liam, the participants, and all who visited the posting(s) and/or voted.
Karen,
Who hopes that her shameless pleading will help Liam to break even on sales of the book.

October 2008/Re: Mask Decoration Contest Finished: Please V
Hi,
I liked the sexy feathery veil.
My husband calls me Smurf Vader!
We have a friend who is active with a theater group.
I will show her this veil idea and hopefully get some costuming suggestions.
The cpap masks need to also be esthetically pleasing for our own self-esteem and to our bed buddies!
