I haven't used a humidifier for years. I use a resmed S9 and a nasal N20 mask.
I keep getting a wet nose. Wet like a beagle puppy wet nose.
Anyone have any ideas what is wrong?
Wet nose?
Wet nose?

Re: Wet nose?
Moisture in your own exhaled breath is condensing in the mask due to cooler air being in the bedroom.
You need to warm up the air in the mask some way....more temp if using a heated hose or maybe a hose cozy on the short hose (if your mask uses a short hose) coming from the long hose. Or if not using a heated hose then either use a heated hose or use a hose cozy over the entire hose.
If water is only in the mask and it is a nasal pillow mask then one of padacheek.com barrel cozies might also help keep that air at the mask level warmer.

Re: Wet nose?
Cold air, warm nose. I stopped using nasal pillows because I HATED how this felt. I had a PRS1 at the time and the humidifier didn't work (a known manufacturer's defect), and we turn off the heat at night. I'm also not a fan of breathing warm air, it makes me feel like I'm suffocating. I don't remember it being as much of a problem in a nasal mask, but it was terrible with nasal pillows.
I'm using the Dreamwear now, it doesn't seem to be a problem with that mask. I have a newer machine with a working humidifier, but I got so used to going without that I don't really use it unless I have an upper respiratory thing, and I haven't in years.

Re: Wet nose?
Room air is already 75F/25C. I would hate warmer air. Humidity sensors claim about 50% or 30% (I expect the higher one is better).
