Don’t know about using patients portholes, I talk to a live person and ask them to confirm my insurance information….all of it.

Portal or porthole--I have yet to find anything useful in them.
Mostly self-aggrandizing fluff. Whose idea were they, anyway?
A lot of hype, IMO.
Money for nothing, in most cases.
And unnecessary exposure of my personal data.

What's wrong with you? That's the number one way I now communicate with my doctors, a pharmacist (who works for one of the doctors), the nurses and the appointment desk. It's a big improvement in technology. I was sick one Saturday afternoon and used the portal to contact my doctor. By Saturday night, I had a new prescription filled.

They don't work that well here in Nebraska . . .
Not as well as those in Chicago, apparently . . .
Maybe ours was set up by the three stooges--lowest bid, ya know.
