Hi People
So grateful for this site!
I’m new to CPAP and on my 4th mask - side sleeper mouth breather somewhere between a small and medium size mask …
I now have the Resmed F 30i full face mask.So far it is the very best fit and comfort with minimal leakage.
The first night was fine but the second night when I was trying to fall asleep my own breathing was so loud and like Darth Vade

♀️
Is this a strap adjustment issue or something else?
Thank you so much

I wonder if the mask is too tight, and allows sound conduction through the facial bones.
Watch some of the excellent mask fitting videos--maybe even try a mask liner.

Very interesting!! I have experienced similar with ear buds that created too tight of a seal and I could hear my zipper rustling etc
You’re a genius!! Monday I try a medium AirFit F30i
1000 Thanks

Most likely it is "something else" because the sound of one breathing is a rather common complaint with this mask in either the nasal, pillow or full face version. I found the breathing noise so annoying when I gave this model mask a brief try a while back that I didn't even try to sleep with it. Part of it may just be from the air moving through the frame. Conducted noise.
I may have to RISE but I refuse to SHINE.
