On my machine for 5 days

Post by Yarns4u48 » Sun Mar 13, 2005 9:31 pm

I have a full face mask . Since I have been on the c-pap I have found that I do not have a voice in the morning. Also, my face is chapped like it is wind burned. Has anyone experience this?

Do you have a heated humidifier?

According to a Respironics respresentative, any new mask should be soaked in warm soapy water for 30 to 60 minutes. I did that, and it helped. Also helped someone in another forum. Might help your chapped face.

Good that you have a heated humidifier. How much of the water tank do you use in a night? Is the chapping on your face at the line that the mask rests? Do you wear you mask tight?

I fill the tank about 1/2 way and yes the chapping is only within the lines of the mask. My lips are so chapped it is almost as if I am dehydrated.
