Well. I thought i woke a bunch more than i did. But i was having some crazy dreams. But from first glance at OSCAR, the readout looks pretty good compared to my dreamstation.

how did you feel that morning? sometimes, how you feel can be a better indicator than what your ahi is.
Rested. But I haven't slept well for a few weeks tbh. But heading in the right direction for sure.

Second night on the Resmed. The night before last i didn't use CPAP as i've been coughing too much from this stupid post covid.

The OSCAR isn't too bad. There are a couple of OA and CA, but not heaps. How does my Flow Limitations look? Also when i was using my DS i had the Flex off and was ok with it. With my Resmed, the EPR is set at 2 and I feel a bit breathless when exhaling. Any thoughts on lowering the EPR? Could this help the OA and CA?

and there is the proof that you ARE headed in the right direction!

i have just a small suggestion? try not to worry about those numbers too much. let the machine go for another couple of nights and see what happens. it's my humble opinion that the numbers will take care of themselves now.

concentrate on how you are feeling. think about it when you wake up in the morning. maybe even write down how you slept. good? poorly? any morning fog? getting up to pee in the night? waking up and laying there for long periods of time?

think about these things before you look at oscar for that magic ahi number. you may be surprised that you are doing better than you thought without having to change any settings at all.

as to the epr, it possible it could help ca. or at least help you feel more comfortable with the machine. it's entirely up to you.

continued good luck!

Flow limitations look just fine…..no need to worry about them.

I wouldn’t change anything for a week or two. Give your body a chance to grow accustomed to the new machine.

There is no urgent need to go changing anything.

Thankyou to both zonker and pugsy for the replies.

Yeah - i feel good that things are heading in the right direction. But i'm a bad one for thinking "could it better" especially when it's a new machine. I think i'll keep these settings for a bit and see how i go. I always keep a sleep diary. Just out of habit nowdays. Definitely better than i was 2 years ago - i can definitely say that.

Onward!

Morning. Or afternoon depending on where you are in the world. I experimented with changing my EPR to 2 to 1 as i felt like i was out of breath on the exhale. EPR=2 is more comfortable but there were a few more CA events on the first night and hardly any on the second. So I might just leave it as is for a week or two and see if i can see a pattern. What do you guys think? For me i feel more rested. I'm a bit more alert behind the eyes if that makes sense. I'm not full of beans, but way better than i was without the Resmed, that's for sure.

looks very good to me. and yes, keep it as is and we'll see what develops.

it's also a very good sign that you are feeling better and better. we are all different in just how long it takes to see improvement. but you seem to be coming along briskly!

Just reporting back in. Wow this Resmed machine is great. I have been in struggle town with my Dreamstation for the past 2 years. I had that thing dialled in, but was still feeling like i'd been wrestling with a soul sucking apnoea monster every night. The staff at my local pharmacy were amazing, but could only work with what they had and especially during the pandemic they were great. But nothing has helped like the info i've gotten off here. It's been a month or so since i bought the Resmed and i can slowly feel the life coming back into me. That sounds pretty dramatic, but you all know what i mean.

Here is the OSCAR readouts for the last couple of nights.
