Newbie here,
For my first post, I began my CPAP therapy in April. After about a month with the Resmed Airsense 11 and Airfit P10 mask, I discovered I was waking up with dry mouth, and the constantly adjusting the mask when sleeping on my side. So I bought a FP30 mask, which is partially full face over the mouth and nose pillow under the nose. It seemed like the best of both worlds. The issue I am having, I am using the hose that came with the P10 mask, but every time I turn the machine on with the new mask , I notice the machine shuts off after a few minutes or less. Does this require a different hose or setting on the Airsense 11? I would love to use the FP30 mask, specially after paying for it totally out of pocket, but I need to figure out why it is shutting off the machine. I contacted Resmed support, and was totally frustrated when they offered no advice but to call whoever I bought the mask from - even though it is their products. So any advice would be appreciated. Thank you in advance, Earl

Re: Resmed FP30
Welcome!
First, let's confirm which mask you are using because there is no ResMed FP30 model. I suspect it is the ResMed AirFit F30 or F30i. https://www.cpap.com/plp/full-face-cpap-mask/ZT0yNjU
Next, the type of mask might need changing on the machine display - user guide page 8.
Finally, if your mask was leaking very badly and the machine's SmartStop feature was selected, the machine may have turned off due to this feature.
Re: Resmed FP30
You are correct. In my haste to post, while at work, I mis-typed. It is the F30i mask. Thank you for replying, and I will look at user guide page 8. Thank you, Earl

Re: Resmed F30i
I've used many masks over the years and have been using that model for almost a year. So far, it may be my all-time favorite. I find the attachment of the hose to the top of the headgear to be a big advantage. It doesn't pull on the mask like hoses that are connected to the mask proper. I can also adjust the mouthpiece up close to my lower lip so that it helps keep my lips closed at night.
You are at the right place now. None of the manufacturers are staffed to handle these issues. Few medical practices can handle them either.
