CPAP RESERVOIR NOISE

Post by Sleeptalker93 » Wed Jul 13, 2022 11:04 am

Hi folks,
A first-time user here, I have been using my CPAP since June 2022.

Machine: ResMed Air Sense 10
Mask: Full face F10 ResMed

Yesterday,
For the first time, I decided to sleep without my fan in my room. As well during that night somehow the machine fell vertically where the reservoir was pointing upwards, however, there was no more water left when it fell. I indeed verified any spills on the floors or if any water had entered the machine and nothing came out

Trying to fall asleep, I noticed the reservoir making a somewhat noticeable noise and with those with ADHD it's loud lol.

I thought at first it was an air leak, so I tightened my mask, ran a mask fit and I passed even how I was laying down.

I ensured all tubes were well inserted and clipped on well,
I also made sure the filter was well positioned. And the noise keeps on happening.

I am sure this is a normal noise but given my first time hearing it I am alarmed.

Given my difficulties uploading my video file, i have uploaded it on YouTube.

My first thought is the water chamber itself isn't completely, totally, perfectly seated inside the place where it goes.
My second thought is that the water chamber was damaged during the fall and might be leaking. Examine it closely.
My third thought is that during the fall the air outlet to the humidifier got damaged somehow.

Air outlet pieces are sold separately and easy to change yourself.

The noise from the reservoir will be louder when there is no water in it...If you are running it without water, be sure to turn off the humidifier,
