I assume that lab studies, and some home studies, do use the nasal cannula to measure airflow, but I think all of them use a pulse oximeter. Then there are the electrodes on the head and a chest strap for some home studies, I had one a long time ago as a test subject for a research study where they put all that on and sent me home. but i never got it read unfortunately.

Is the Resmed machine measuring sp02, it must be, yet there are no results anywhere on their app.
How could it? the only way it's connected to you is by a plastic hose.

What about the oxygen desaturation index and respiratory distress index, how are they part of the diagnosis?
This isn't a diagnosis, it's treatment.

Are you here just to argue, or to learn?

My wife recently had a home sleep study it with the Resmed Apnea Link it had a canula, a chest belt, and a pulse oximiter. They measured of her flow and oxygen saturation and supine position also.

The fingertip pulse oximeter is what is used to determine oxygen saturations.
Yes, common in home or in lab sleep studies but not used commonly at home when treatment is given.
Only used for diagnosis in most situations.

I posted Oscar chart but not sure I did it right, or if I should post it in this thread instead. Any guidance appreciated. Thanks.

a very good question and thanks for answering. moving forward(god i hate that phrase!) please stay in one thread. looks like it might be best to stay in the other for now.

makes it much easier for addle pated persons such as me to keep up with newbies and what they haven't or have tried.

good luck!
people say i'm self absorbed.
but that's enough about them.
