Most comfortable full face mask?
For many years I used the ResMed F20 mask. The only problem was that I had a big red whelp on the bridge of my nose every morning. I tried surgical tape. Helped somewhat. I tried gel strips. Got a lot of leakage. After fighting the red whelps for many years, I decided to try the F30. No more red whelps on the bridge of my nose. The only problem is leakage. I get a lot of leakage. I have tried many different attempts at a better strap adjustment-but none work. Unless you want to crank it so tight that it hurts. The saving grace is that my event level is good. I usually average between 0.0 and 1.0 per hour. So i have just learned to live with the mask"s high leakage level. If it does not cause a high event level, why worry?

When I had a mask causing red welts on the bridge of my nose, I used a piece of moleskin on my nose every night. This stopped the irritation and was thin enough to allow a good seal.

Tube on top is nice but not a deal breaker for me. For all my other masks I just run the tube under the strap on the top of my head. Works nearly the same although it might need an adjustment once in a while. The hose obstructs your vision, but that's irrelevant when your sleeping. If I had more time I would sew some loops on the strap to hold the hose in place.

I like my Amara View because nothing touches the bridge of my nose. I just started using my DreamStation again with an added filter and I'm using the old mask. I see the new ones now have a magnetic latch instead of a hook.

Has anyone found that Full Face Masks straps "ALL" push your jaw bone back?
That is what bothered me the most. It caused me pain in my ears and lower jaw. After I moved to Nasal masks or pillows the pain went away.
Does anyone know of Full Face Masks that do not put pressure on your chin pushing your jaw back?

Hey Iif you want to just try different types out for yourself, i
have a variety of both full face& nasal (complete kits & cushion replacements) new/ unused& super cheap. (I'm de-cluttering) Price Range for each cushion/complete kit w/ headgear between $8-15/each. 1 of everything would cost less than a single purchase at full price. Lmk

Just got the F-P Evora Full Face Mask. Only used it for one night so far but it was super comfortable and lightweight. Only thing I didn't like is the connection between tubing and face mask. Kind of hard to reconnect after you disconnected to go to bathroom etc..
I've seen it advertised as having a 30 night trial return policy, seems to be worth checking out

Re: Most comfortable full face mask?
I checked My Air app yesterday and it showed a leak of 27 L/min. I reread the F&P instructions for the mask and it said to first use the S-M mask that came attached to the headgear. I had their a drop uncomfortable in that size and went up to the L size. So I switched back to the S-M size and readjusted the straps as per the instructions, didn't do it crazy tight like I've had to do before with other face masks. Tried it for half an hour and no leak at all. Used it last night and it was very comfortable. This morning got 100 on MyAir with a leak of 7L/min. Very impressed with this mask. Going to use for another week and then call my DME to put this mask on my profile for refills.

Over my CPAP years, I have used half a dozen FFMs. None of them push my lower jaw back. How tight are you adjusting the straps? It takes a large amount of pressure to push the jaw back. Are you aware that the lower front teeth are slightly behind the upper front teeth in the normal resting position of the jaw?SJ-Paddler wrote: ↑Fri May 06, 2022 6:51 amHas anyone found that Full Face Masks straps "ALL" push your jaw bone back?

How Tight? Not sure, enough to stop the leaks and leave red marks on my face. (By stop the leaks I mean I reduced leaks from 5L to 0L a night) I was new to CPAP and was using the Vitera. The strap seemed to me at the time to put pressure on that area between the chin and lip and pulled backward causing me ear pain. I have not gone back so it could have been any number of adjustment issues. I was sorely awaiting the day when I was stuffed up and had to use it again.ChicagoGranny wrote: ↑Wed May 11, 2022 6:24 amOver my CPAP years, I have used half a dozen FFMs. None of them push my lower jaw back. Strangely enough, that day came a couple days ago. I got my 4th Covid shot and Shingles shot at the same time. (Not the best idea looking back at it.) I felt terrible for 24 hours, then poof, back to normal. However stuffy as my nose was the CPAP opened up a nasal passage ways that was easy to breath through with nasal pillows alone. I am hoping the next time I get stuffed up the CPAP does the same.

It is said that it's OK if only used at night--all day long would be too risky.ronragus wrote: ↑Thu May 19, 2022 4:13 pmMucinex can be used long term everyday!?chunkyfrog wrote: ↑Wed Apr 27, 2022 6:02 pmIn 12 years, I have discovered that a squirt of Mucinex in each nostril,

I might need it maybe 2 or 3 nights a year; so not a problem for me.
