ResMed F30 AirFit Mask Fit

Post by Blaise » Thu Apr 21, 2022 9:14 am

Im having a hell of a time getting a good mask fit with the F30. See SleepHQ data below. I have tried numerous adjustments. Seems like it leaks around my nose area ever so slightly and sometimes my chin area. I find myself waking up to readjust it often. Anyone have a similar issue with the F30? Any tips?

Find this mask on youtube and carefully watch four or five videos on fitting and adjusting.

Assuming you got the correct size using the chart, it takes some trial and error. I followed ChicagoGranny's tip on watching adjustment videos at the time.

I like to adjust it while laying down and it's already inflated. Don't overtighten it. I prefer the top strap which pulls it against the nostrils to be tight. The bottom strap control leaks around the chin area which you are having a hard time with. Have the mask fit snug and it shouldn't leak much.

Oh, BUT, I bought and returned TWO defective F30 masks which came with slightly deformed cushions and were impossible to adjust! Do you experience loud fart-like noises when the mask move just a little during the night? A normal cushion should look very symmetrical. The individual replacement cushions I ordered came ok, so I'll probably try ordering just the mask parts from now on.
