Total usage time

Post by Bvsipad@gmail.com » Sun Apr 10, 2022 2:25 pm

I am new to the cPap world. I have a Resmed Luna 2 that uses the 3B Luna QR app.
The machine appears to show the hours last used, and not the total hours in the noon to 11:59 am time period. During the night I turn it off to go for a short restroom visit, and noticed this situation when I started keeping the time manually. I cannot differentiate on the reports that were sent to me that it calculates the total hours used. Concerned. Does anyone else have this issue? I am compliant with total hours, but not seeing those hours on my machine. Are these times used for any other calculations, e.g. the AHI? If I read the SDC on my computer would it show the total usage hours? Thanks, BvS

ResMed doesn't make the Luna. BMC 3 B makes the Luna. If you were thinking you got a ResMed product you didn't.
You got a chinese knock off.

You might go here and see if they have the clinical manual for your machine....once you figure out its exact manufacturer name and model...and request the manual. See if the information in that manual answers your questions.

Not very many Luna users here at all to offer help.

Some machines do calculate from noon to noon, so that if you look at 'last' night at e.g. 1 pm in the afternoon, you might see only an hour's usage... so you need to find out if your machine (whatever it is) does that.

I bought a lightly used 3B Luna ll just to play with it. It is really a nice machine, but very bulky. It was quiet and easy to set pressures. After playing for a few days, I sold it in one day. Here is the Clinical Manual... https://3bproducts.com/assets/uploads/2 ... ctions.pdf

If somebody told you it was a Resmed, they have some explaining to do.
If it was the seller--a lot of explaining!

Thank you for the responses.

It is BMC 3B not Resmed. I apologize for my error. I am a new user, and I will remember this for sure as I go on this challenge journey.

I have the manual when I purchased the machine.

It records the time from Noon to 11:59 am. I was told by Respiratory Therapist that the machine shows the last hours used within the 24 hour period. Thus, if one takes a break between the times on the machine, the reading does not show the total usage hours. She assures me the SD Card has the information. I have reports, but unclear where the total time for the 24 hours show up. Maybe I should take the SD card and check on my PC to drill down, or go back to the respiratory therapist to explain where I would find the actual usage time.

Sorry to hear there are not many 3B users, but I I find this site to be helpful being a newbie.

We're pedantic about the terms used, because when you google for answers using the wrong terms, you frequently get wrong answers, and miss out on many correct ones :)
