Oscar software allows us to look at the data from our pap machines. the data shows things like breathing waveforms, irregular breathing events, mask leaks, snoring, machine pressure changes and many other useful things depending on what machine you have. For some machines we are not able to look at the data. When we learn how to interpret that data we are able to take control of our own therapy and make adjustments to improve it. Oscar allows us to fine tune our therapy and take it to the next level.Lindafromgrayslake wrote: ↑Tue Apr 12, 2022 8:18 pmThanks I will check out what OSCAR means.
Also I shoulda clarified Yoga Nidra amounts to laying on the floor having a yoga instructor help you relax down through the layers of relaxing into sleep. Nidra means sleep. Although Im sure regular yoga is way helpful too as are breathing exercises. Thanks for reading - I will now belatedly read the newbie rules that I apologize if I have violated any.
Sorry to hear you are still struggling with sleep. Quite a few people end up here on the forum because they need help beyond what their doctor has provided. Often doctors are not able to get into the details of fine tuning your therapy. Some people are lucky to get a good fitting mask and good machine pressure settings right away, many of us don't. It's possible that you could get the pap to work better for you if some adjustments were made. You would need to start a new thread for yourself which would get a lot more views. The folks on the forum are very helpful and many of us have been in a similar situation.
Thanks for posting your results with the Somnomed device. It sounds like these devices can correct mild apnea but not severe.
