Doctors seeing a rise in sleep apnea among pregnant women

I don't think that there's a "real" increase, so much as increased awareness of the problem. There was an allusion to that idea in the article, though you'd never know it from the title.

I think that it would be very difficult to titrate a pregnant woman, as the need would likely change as the pregnancy advances. After the child is born, it would need to be determined if she still needs treatment and, if so, what would the post-delivery settings be?

Weight gain contributes to an actual increase in pregnancy. The patient might also sleep on the back more causing breathing problems. Smart sleep professionals have known this for a couple of decades.

Pregnancy might be a good argument for using an APAP.
Prenatal oxygen is essential for mental and physical development.
I wonder how many children today are impacted by their mothers' apnea.
