I'm not sure why you'd think that, but no, not in my experience.

I don't change my cleaning routine (including never washing hoses) whether I'm using humidity or not, my hoses last for years without developing leaks or other issues, and they're clean on the inside.

The fact that the ResMed AirFoam cushions can't be cleaned, only wiped. And have a recommended monthly usage timeframe, is pretty compelling evidence that no mask needs to be washed more than monthly (only wiped).

The only reason I clean my masks (P10s) is because the mesh vent gets clogged to the point breathing gets uncomfortable. I rotate three of them, so I only have to clean them around aprox. three to four months depending how often I use the bleep mask..

Just wipe the one I am using with an alcohol every night or so.
