Resmed Air-sense 10 foam completely gone.

Post by chase88 » Tue Mar 22, 2022 4:26 am

So I have been using a Resmed 10 for about 4 years along with the soclean2( I’m now dumping the soclean2). I noticed some foam particles at the air inlet so I decided to take my machine apart to see if I can clean and remove the foam.

To my surprise, the foam was completely gone with the exception of foam all in the turbine motor. I must have breathed the entire thing in over the years.

My question is what do I do now? Beyond having to replace this machine so I can sleep, should i now expect respiratory issues or cancer in my future?

I’m seeing my doctor today to discuss what I should do, but I’m curious if anyone else has had a similar experience.

If there was nothing left of the donut-shaped piece of grey foam,
it is all water under the bridge now.
DONE. PAST. NOTHING LEFT BUT REGRET. (Lose the regret.)
Since it was nice, stable RESMED foam, and your machine still runs fine,
and you never smelled something "off"---
maybe it was just forgotten at the factory. It can happen.
Another thing: check the floor under your work table--
maybe your cat got it while you had a coffee.

Did you notice this line?

Do not regret growing older. It is a privilege denied to many...

It takes less time to do a thing right than to explain why you did it wrong.

So, was it the donut or just scraps?
Still not clear.
Did the NOclean disintegrate the foam; or did the OP just expect more foam?
Or did he only post once to make us guess.

Noclean is known to disintegrate foam, which is why Resmed issued a notice a few years ago that using noclean could void the warranty on machines.
