KB Apnea Treatment - Concern

Post by KobeT » Sun Mar 13, 2022 1:03 pm

Hi I've been lurking on this site for about 3 years, but been on cpap for almost 16 years. I've always had a dumb cpap until Dec. 2018 when I got a Dreamstation 1. I've been self treating all the time. I've never gone back to a doctor since my AHI alwas was around 1 rarely above 1.5 and below and usually around .8, usually the majority of the AHI was CA but didn't pay attention becuase it was still hardly above 1. On Feb. 27 I got an AirSense 11 Autoset. For the first week or so the same story mostly no OAs but on the days with the higher AHI 4-10 CAs and one day some H, but starting on the 8th no more CAs and 1 OA on the 8th and 1 H on the 10th. On the 9th and 11-12 I have the magical unicorn of an AHI of 0.00. I'm concern that all of a sudden the cpap is recording my events. Since I started recording my data in 2018 I have gotten an AHI 0.0 twice and in the last week I have gotten it 3 times and two other days with AHI of 0.1. The only difference that I made within the last month is changing from the Dreamstation to AS11 and started using humidity (never used before), also I now have an adjustable bed which started sleeping with the head elevated. I'm going to include some of my current screenshots with no CAs and a couple with CAs.

The only difference? That's a huge difference. These machines have different algorithms. ResMed responds better for many people.

^This is also a huge difference.

Quit worrying about excellent statistical results and work on sleep hygiene and being energetic.

Congrats!

The machines are great at recording events.

Have you noticed a difference in how you feel?
