Tooth fillings and Cpap
Tooth fillings and Cpap
I recently had a few tooth fillings done and after that I get severe toothache while using cpap. It’s been more than 10 days now. Has anyone else experienced this? Any suggestions on how to deal with it?

talk to your dentist.
fillings (should) not be affected by CPAP.

Every dentist is supposed to address any exposed nerves.
If your dentist cannot do that, time for a second opinion--and litigation.

I’ve had similar issues when the dentist did a particularly poor job with the Novocain injection. It took a few weeks for the pain to go away from the injection site and was very noticeable when I used a full face mask where it pressed on the upper teeth in the area the work was done. The worst one was an injection that caused trismus and took months to go away.
You can consider using Anbesol, Orajel, Dr. Numb, or other numbing agent. Personally I used Dr. Numb. If it continues much longer you should go back to the dentist (assuming it is one you trust) and explain the problem as they may want to do an x-ray to be sure there is not a nerve or other issue.

Thanks so much for your advice. I think I’m going to bide a little time to see how it goes. Meanwhile I’ll use one of the numbing meds you suggested and try and get back to using the cpap.
