Maybe I misspoke. She says this is common of people being treated with CPAP therapy.

If anything, CPAP will prevent sloppy eyes.MewsikMaker wrote: ↑Sat Mar 26, 2022 3:38 pmSO-my doctor says this is a little known side effect of CPAP therapy. Spread the word, get some eyeseals or eyeeco clear or black gel goggles. LOTS of people who use CPAP have floppy eyelids now!
The moron may be confused because there is some evidence that untreated sleep apnea can cause floppy eye syndrome - https://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2 ... 172919.htm#:
Is it necessary to call me a moron? I really feel like that’s a terrible thing to say. I came here for help, and treating me like that isn’t exactly along forum guidelines I assume…

Hmmm... ChicagoGranny was calling out/insulting your doctor.
She wasn't insulting you.

At this point, I don't see any reason to call you a moron. You are only the recipient of bad info from a doctor. It happens.

I see. I misspoke. She said floppy eyelids tends to happen in CPAP patients in general. I wrote too quickly, lots going on this weekend. Thanks for all your help.

Re: Severe dry eyes?
This doctor may be confused by confounding variables. She has noticed an association with CPAP and floppy eyes syndrome (FES). CPAP is one variable. She failed to look for other variables. Three other variables that are associated with FES are advanced age, obesity and CPAP. There is evidence that age and obesity contribute to FES. There is no evidence that CPAP contributes to FES.MewsikMaker wrote: ↑Sun Mar 27, 2022 7:53 amShe said floppy eyelids tends to happen in CPAP patients in general.

Re: Severe dry eyes?
I googled the heck out of this a few years ago. Essentially 100% of people with FES also have sleep apnea.
Here is just one of many, many references.
https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC6531778/
"The floppy eyelid syndrome is characterized by the presence of easily evertible eyelids in the context of a papillary conjunctivitis. According to some studies, up to 90-100% of the patients with this syndrome also have obstructive sleep apnea syndrome. It remains an under-diagnosed disorder with unclear pathogenesis."
