Response Setting
Response Setting
In the AS10 Settings for Response, you can choose Standard or Soft...What do they do?

Re: Response Setting
It's never explained very well...soft is supposedly a "gentler" increase in pressure in auto mode in response to whatever is driving the pressure.
Never had a machine that offered it so I have never played with it.

I may have to RISE but I refuse to SHINE.
Re: Response Setting
So it's kind of like the "for her" setting on the AS 10

Re: Response Setting
It's part of the 'for her' setting, but not all of it.

Re: Response Setting
FWIW, have experimented with the regular and soft settings. Although I understand the theory, I can't discern any difference in the real world. Maybe it's just me.

Re: Response Setting
I would assume that since the "response" to apnea event or snores or FLs (which cause the pressure to increase in the first place) would happen after we go to sleep because we wouldn't expect to have the change happen while awake and thus unlikely to have it happen while awake where we might notice. If we are asleep we are unlikely to notice a subtle difference. It's supposed to be a gentler increase after the machine has determined a need to increase the pressure.
