Help with Comfort Issues

Post by jlsmithseven » Sat Dec 25, 2021 4:02 pm

I've been using my AirSense 11 for a little over a month. I've tried several full face/half face masks and recently switched to a nose only and chin strap setup. The first few nights on it were great, got excellent sleep. Then like a week later I'm having all kinds of comfort issues. This was the same for the full face mask setups. I had a great night sleep with each of them, then they got so uncomfortable and I was waking up at midnight several times because of it. I know there's a fine line between too tight and not tight enough, but it seems the just tight enough is leaving my nose very sore or my face sore. Whenever I think I found the new setup I like for comfort wise, it just turns on me like a week in. Is there something that's in my head about this or what can I do?

Too tight's not good - look at Padacheek.com 'liners', they'll also help with little leaks (the owner was/is? a member here and designs them for all masks.

Could it be that after a week the straps stretch and you need to adjust them again? That should be done each nite as any mask movement will rub the skin and cause irritation. Imagine how many times each nite the mask will move when it moves with each breath.

try searching on youtube for mask fitting videos. be sure to insert the mask name in your search.

watch one or two to see if you can pick up a tip there.
people say i'm self absorbed.
but that's enough about them.
