Water for Heated Humidifier

to each his own, I suppose. I don't have chlorinated water (have well water) so I feel comfortable breathing the vapor. If I was on a chlorinated water system, I would not use tap water. I don't worry about bacteria since I drink the water too. I have to wash out my nasal pillows each morning so dumping the water pan (not rinsing and washing) is no problem.

Ingesting bacteria and inhaling are entirely different.

When we ingest bacteria, our stomach acid is normally effective at killing it.

When we breath it, it goes directly into our bloodstream.

Our chances of getting sick are increased using dirty water...

Ever see what is left after you distill tap water? It smells like sewer. If you want that up your nose, to each their own...

no, I just use distilled water....
