Wow cant believe its been 5 months since I posted haha. So here's an update:
I had the titration study which determined I should be around 12-13 cm. I was taking trazodone 50mg, then the doctor doubled it. With no change after a month, she changed to Doxepin 10mg. I had a really rough first week and we had dialed the pressure into a 14-16 range as she was compensating for deep sleep. After not making much progress, the medication was upped to 25mg. The following month changed to 50mg. I was given a 10 day trial to use Dayvigo and I will admit I was knocked out. I know I slept pretty hard but still had fragmented sleep and struggled getting out of the bed in the mornings. I get up at 530 during the week for work and usually around 7-8 on the weekend. I was sleeping til almost 11 on dayvigo and had to force myself to get up, just to sit on the couch in complete brain fog for the next 30 minutes.
I tried going without medication and my sleep gradually got worse each night. She wanted to try Belsomra next but I have went back to taking the 25mg Doxepin the past week. Ive settled into a constant cycle, albeit still fragmented but not nearly as much. Im usually out 10 minutes after hitting the pillow, sleep for a few hours, awaken and readjust my position, sleep a few more hours, awaken and need a bathroom trip, fall back asleep til around 4, then constantly wake up every 15-20 minutes which is likely due to anxiety and the thought of oversleeping.
So still fragmented but not as bad as its been. I have the one bathroom trip which is still much less than before treatment. I have no acid reflux in the mornings. I used to struggle to brush my teeth or anything because of nausea and upset stomach. No more. Ive been dieting and eating cleaner the past 3 months (which Im sure has contributed to less acid reflux too) and already lost 30 pounds. I have an televisit with my doctor on Monday and will see where we go from here. Feels like we are throwing darts at a board changing medication only for me to wait a month to do it again. I didnt post any screenshots as my OSCAR data is pretty much the same as my previous posts.
Just wanted to give a "quick" update on my treatment. I havent and dont plan on stopping the cpap as I do believe Im feeling some benefits. I got an appt with my PCP next month where Im curious to see my bloodwork and further weight loss.
2 months in and struggling

Been there and done that was well while waiting on meds refills.![]()
Damned if you do and damned if you don't kind of thing.
When I remember a lot of arousals I also know that I, most likely, had even more that I don't remember and those that I don't remember to play a factor in my overall sleep quality just as much as the ones I do remember.
Agree! Some people are extremely sensitive to medication changes.
currently trying airfit N30 (not i)
