Neither tbe bullfrog nor I find the coal trains excessively noisy.
This house has almost NO insulation, and the tracks are but 200 feet away.
Luckily, we are both hard of hearing. Not so much a handicap here . . .
My great uncle lived smack dab next to a railroad track his whole life. Every morning at 3:00 a.m., a long express train would come rumbling through blowing its horn. It never woke him up.

One night, the bridge was out 20 miles up the tracks and the express was canceled.

At 3:00 a.m., my uncle woke up and shouted, "What was that?!".

The railroad sends multiple trains through every day.
KC needs coal for electricity.
No horn zone--except for the di×k at 2:00 AM.
