Yes, stuff is relatively expensive here, but I think warranties and consumer law are only a very small part of the cause - it's complicated. In a way it's like insurance - you hate paying the premiums but when you need to collect you're glad it's there. I've seen lots of people on this forum being without their Philips machines and no idea when they'll get a new one. Under Australian consumer law they're entitled to a full refund, and can then buy the machine of their choice.zonker wrote: ↑Fri Nov 05, 2021 4:12 pmso i've heard. on this forum, if'n i remember correctly.Dog Slobber wrote: ↑Fri Nov 05, 2021 1:35 pmCareful what you wish for. One of the reason products are so expensive in Australia is because of their much longer warranty.zonker wrote: ↑Fri Nov 05, 2021 11:12 amgood to hear it. unfortunately, here in the good ol' united states, a warranty isn't quite so generous.Respirator99 wrote: ↑Thu Nov 04, 2021 11:50 pm
My S9 came with a 5 year warranty (in Australia). At 4 yr 10 m, Resmed fixed a fault in the humidifier and replaced the motor "just in case". And gave me a brand new machine to tide me over till mine came back. Excellent warranty service in my view.![]()
