Oscar 1.2.0 - non-data capable cpap

Post by dataq1 » Mon Sep 20, 2021 6:40 pm

I've just installed OSCAR 1.2.0 and it is reporting that my Phillips Respironics machine (Model DSX500H11) is a "non-data capable machine (Model 220P)". I don't even know what a Model 220P is, but is it possible that my machine (marked on the case as DSX500H11) only records hours of use? What am I doing incorrectly?

220P = Philips-Respironics Series 60 REMstar SE

From your old posts, you had a REMstar at some point.

DSX500H11 is the recalled DreamStation Auto CPAP. It is fully data capable.

I don't know what is happening with the OSCAR install.
May it is picking up the older data directory???

Thanks Grumpy, Yes, as you can see I've been "off-line" for some time. I suppose that it's possible that the SD card I'm using MIGHT have been used with the Remstar previously. To avoid that possibility can I just plop a newly formatted 2G SD card into the dreamstation? (assume format to FAT32??) and see what happens overnight?
I'm certain that my computer is not carrying any residuals from remstar days as it is a new computer hand never had Sleepyhead or OSCAR on it.
Any advice on formatting?

Newly formatted SD with FAT32 is good.

Given the new install with no data preservation needed, I would go a little bit further (just in case.)

Uninstall OSCAR. Wipe out any associated directories. Re-install.

Good luck and let us know what happens.

Worked perfectly with freshly formatted (FAT-32) SD card. When I inserted the card into the dreamstation, it took a few moments to write to the card then I was ready to use.
Apparently OSCAR was picking up some old (remstar) data from the card. So.... lesson learned, start a new machine with a clean SD card !
Thanks, I'm now back in business!
