Just curious...
Does anyone have an email for Philips to request an update? I've tried calling numerous times but no luck. I'm wondering if email might be a better choice?
Thanks!

They are jammed up - just trying to get out replacement machines as quickly as possible. There is no one sitting there waiting for your email and able to determine when your machine will be shipped.stunnerman wrote: ↑Mon Jan 17, 2022 9:17 amJust curious...

True...
I was just thinking about emailing to ensure I'm even on the list to receive a replacement. Being in Canada I assumed it will take a while. I got the machine in March 2021 and I registered in June 2021. I have never received any correspondence from Philips since registering. Not even a registration confirmation email, nothing. I have checked their site and put in my serial number again - it says my machine has already been registered.

Dreamstation GO Replacements?
I'm the proud owner of TWO Dreamstation GO's. I had bought a 2nd one as a spare. Now faced with waiting for replacements, or buying a THIRD machine for the interim. I know they are shipping Dreamstation 2's but has anyone received a replacement for their Dreamstation GO? I registered back in June. Thanks!

I have a Dreamstation Go and I also registered in June. Haven’t heard anything yet.

Re: Philips Respironics Recall V2.0 Questions and Answers
I called Philips yesterday for an update. I have two relatively new (under 2 years old) Dreamstation 1 APAPs and an older System One basic CPAP. The customer service representatives still have no information available regarding my machines. All they were able to do was reconfirm that my machines are registered in the recall database as they have been since June.
One new piece of information shared regarding the System One is that they still haven't determined what they are going to do for these older units. Surprising because I know someone with an old System One who received a Dreamstation 2 replacement very early in the process.

That's the most frustrating thing! I purchased my DS1 at the end of March 2021. 3 months later I'm registering my device for the recall. If anything my provider should have replaced my faulty DS1 under the store warranty policy. This was never an option. I have yet to receive anything from Philips here in Canada. At least it sounds like some Canadians are receiving devices now!
Re: Philips Respironics Recall V2.0 Questions and Answers
For people who are not waiting for the recall (or would not trust Philips again) - what machines are you moving to? My DME doesn't supply anything other than Philips and my sleep doctor and insurance company have not been helpful in steering me to another brand. I currently have, and have discontinued using, the DreamStation 2 w/humidifier. Thanks

Re: Philips Respironics Recall V2.0 Questions and Answers
If my DME only sold respironics, I would change to one who can/will supply Resmed.

resmed. but be advised, machines are expensive now any brand.
good ol' supply and demand.
are you going through insurance, i take it? if not, find a nice used machine. forum member lsat often has a machine for sale. if through insurance, i'd do as chunkyfrog suggests and switch doctors and dme.
good luck!

Re: Philips Respironics Recall V2.0 Questions and Answers
I registered a couple months ago. Took about a month to get a confirmation email to let me know that I am registered. Five days ago I got a second email letting me know what their plan is. I assume everyone got the same email but I seen no mention of it here. I wonder if they are treating people fairly so I figured I should post the email in case people haven't gotten any response. I really hope they will give me some options for replacement. I'd like to keep my current System One machine. It's still the most efficient machine to run on battery power as far as I know. I do electronic repair so if they could just send me a new part I'd be all for that.
From Philips
We’re writing to you with two important updates about your recalled Philips device.* As always, thank you for your continued patience as we work hard to ensure as many patients as possible can continue safely with their therapy. Our first update is to inform you of the initial test results around the possible emission from the sound abatement foam. Our second update is to let you know how we are planning to prioritize remediation around the needs of patients.
Test results of volatile organic compounds (VOCs)
The testing program, which we have carried out together with independent clinical experts and certified laboratories, indicates that exposure to the level of VOCs identified to date for the first-generation DreamStation devices is not typically anticipated to result in long-term health consequences. If you do not use a first-generation DreamStation device, please be assured that we will update you as soon as we receive more results from the ongoing program.** These findings support a better understanding of the long-term impact on health but do not change the current course of our recall. Our most recently updated guidance for all patients can be viewed here; we are continuing the recall efforts as planned.
Order processing
To make sure patients with the greatest needs receive a replacement device as timely as possible, we will be prioritizing remediation efforts around certain patients as requested by the Food & Drug Administration. For US patients whose remediation is directly managed by Philips, data collected throughout the patient registration process will be used to help to prioritize remediation of those patients at higher risk. In addition to this prioritization, the shipment of replacement devices happens as inventory is available, and Philips collects the information needed to transfer existing therapy settings to the replacement unit.
In the coming weeks, you will receive an email that outlines the option to provide additional prioritization information. The types of information you may provide include: your age; whether you have any other health conditions including obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) and its severity; whether you are pregnant or have an occupation associated with public safety; your history of car accidents related to falling asleep while driving; and whether you have used ozone for device cleaning purposes.
We understand the period of uncertainty this creates and thank you for your patience. We will continue to provide regular updates to you through this process.
In the meantime, as a reminder, your device registration confirmation number is .....................
Thank you for your continued trust.
