Vent noise

Post by thebarber8787 » Sun Sep 05, 2021 11:16 am

I am sure many people have asked this question but I am new here and am hoping there might be some new answers. I use a Res Med 10 CPAP machine with a full face mask. The biggest complain my wife has is the constant air noise coming from the hose connector bi valve. I put blankets and pillows over my head that helps sometimes and makes it worse others. Can someone help point me in a direction that might make things better.

That vent is blowing out the Carbon Dioxide from your exhaled breath. All masks have vents...some venting is stronger than others.. Best advice is don't face each other while sleeping.

There are many FFMs. Which do you have?

hose connector bi valve.
What are you calling a 'hose connector bi valve'? Find the manual for your mask, indicate on a picture, (or indeed, take a picture) and point to what you're talking about.

Hmmm? It's rare that you clam up.

Maybe Zonker has become afraid to stick his little neck out?
