2 weeks in

Post by gabehogans » Sun Aug 08, 2021 8:42 am

So I’m two weeks into using my cpap machine. I feel like I have less daytime sleepiness but when I woke up yesterday I noticed I was a little tired( I went to sleep at 10:30 the night before and woke up at 6). This morning I got up and was tired. I took a shower and felt food. Then I was at church and kneeled my head on the chair I’m front of me to pray and noticed I started getting really tired so I got up. What do y’all think? Just two weeks maybe my body is still getting used to the cpap? Plus I basically work 7 days a week. 66 hrs a week Monday thru Saturday and I’m at church on sundays from 8 to basically 7 at night(a couple break between services). What do y’all think?

Without seeing Oscar results, who can say what's going on?

And maybe follow this up in your original thread so we can see the history.

There's your problem, next time try eating the food.

Did you get your vaccine?
I see you are in Arkansas, where hospitals are filling up.
Just saying, it's not always the cpap.

did you make the changes that pugsy suggested in your other thread?

https://www.cpaptalk.com/viewtopic/t182 ... apnea.html

did you download the oscar software as she also advised? we really need to see data on your therapy. we don't all have the exact same sleep apnea. it has many little differences, called events. for each of us.

if we could see that data then we can recommend changes (like pressure) to optimize your therapy. in the meantime, please stay in the same thread for a short while and try not to start new ones. it makes it harder to keep up with what you have or haven't done.

and yeah, it's going to take awhile. stick with it, give us data and we'll be able to help.

good luck!

I see no reason you should ever feel tired.

In addition to what was advised in the OP's other thread (which we have heard crickets only)
when people complain of fatigue that continues despite adequate therapy (which at this point we have no idea as to even if the therapy is optimal) we need to be asking the usual questions.

How many hours of sleep is the person actually getting?
Are those hours of sleep fragmented by multiple wake ups?
Any medications on board?
Any other physical or mental health conditions on board?
Is the therapy being delivered actually optimal?

gabehogans was in today shortly after 4pm and apparently doesn't wish to engage.
