Default pessure setting

Post by Georgie71 » Thu Jul 29, 2021 10:09 am

Hello.
I am in the um and have been given an airsense 10 auto for my treatment. As i go into hospital a lot with my asthma i have a grab bag. I have bought a spare second hand machine the same as my hospital one for my grab bag. It has a set pressure of 12-20. My hospital one is set default 4-20. My sleep report says i average around 10,
My question is can i reset it to default, or will it not matter?

Thank you in advance Georgie71

Did you mean UK?
You can reset the machine and it may or may not matter in terms of therapy but will for sure matter in terms of comfort while awake.
Sometimes the default settings work well for people and sometimes (most times) they don't.
We would need to see some detailed reports to have any idea where you might fall.

Yes you can change your "hospital one" settings. You need the "clinicians" manual which you can get here:
