will phillips battery work on resmed
hi all..thank you for allowing me to join.. I just purchased a resmed to replace my Phillips… I am hoping I put it together correctly… I have a question… I had purchased recently the Phillips battery pack for over $400 and was wondering if this can be used on the resmed? thanks

Without knowing the specific battery, this question can't be answered.
If your battery has a 12v Cigarette Adapter, then yes, you can get a ResMed DC converter that should work.

Re: will phillips battery work on resmed
I too recently picked up a Resmed (Airsense 10 Autoset) to replace my Philips. The Resmed Airsense 10 Autoset requires a 24 volt input voltage. For mine I need one of their adapters that ramps up the battery's voltage from 12v to deliver 24v to the machine - something like this below which I just ordered the other day (of course there are other versions of this out there):JustSleepy5 wrote: ↑Sat Jul 03, 2021 12:15 amhi all..thank you for allowing me to join.. I also discovered today that my older Freedom battery has been replaced with the Freedom battery V2 which apparently can supply 12v or 24v without the bulky 24v adapter. And it charges in 2 hours. Bummer I can't trade in my old one, plus I've spent a bundle on CPAP gear in the last few weeks. I'll put this on the wish list for future.

Re: will phillips battery work on resmed
I realized this was going to be the case when I bought my new Resmed. Last winter I built up a nice battery box to run my CPAP. I figured, in an emergency, I'd pull the battery out of a vehicle to run the CPAP if we had a power failure. I know that's not good for the battery, but if it failed, I would just buy a replacement for the vehicle. Our power is pretty good here, in the past 7 years that I have been on CPAP there was only one period where we were out of power for long enough to make a difference. I will either buy the 12 to 24 volt converter, or maybe pick a pair of smaller 12V batteries to put in series. Maybe what I really ought to do is make a cable that would run down to the garage and connect to the batteries in two cars. It's starting to get a little crazy.
