starting yesterday, i've had some random problems staying on the board.
specifically, my routine is to read the first "new to me" message. once read, i open a new tab and read the nest "new to me" message and so on and so forth.
but yesterday i got the can't log in message or whatever the hell it was six months ago.
anybody else having a similar problem?

That problem has been haunting me daily for a couple of weeks. It happens often when clicking on a Notification. If I chop off the front of the URL (http://), I usually can get in.
I usually have no problems logging in with this bookmark - http://cpaptalk.com/CPAP-Sleep-Apnea-Forum.html

I have had various problems daily...multiple times daily...since the last problem.
I have come to just cuss and move on. I see the damn robot so many times a day we are best friends.
Double posts again....loading time outs...etc. Still can't use Safari on the Ipap to access the forum at all no matter what link I use.
I have not had problems staying logged in though on this PC.....yet.
I do sometimes get an error when I click on the notifications area to see what I am being notified about.
Some sort of security error I think...
like I said...it's been so screwed up for so long that SNAFU is normal daily occurrence for me and has been for months and months.

i THINK what happened was this; we had an outage of our isp. so bad that it took out the entire west coast. i was so frustrated that i ended up using my phone, which i really don't like to do. and of course, to keep up with what's new, i had to sign in. that was thursday night and the next morning, when isp came back, i started having trouble again.
i just hope it doesn't get any worse.

oh! interesting. i had assumed it had stabilized for you as well.
that's got to be doubly frustrating what with the pain you're going through.
i hope you know we all appreciate what you do here.

Note: The "N" in SNAFU does mean "normal".
I used to think it was meant to be ironic--yeah, right . . .

It's taken me a month to log in. This ain't no way to run a site and I don't understand why someone isn't on it!
Well, hello and goodbye to my friends here in case it won't allow me to log in again.
