Travel cpap - Dreamstation Go

Post by breezers » Thu May 06, 2021 6:28 am

So I am have been using a resmed air sense 10 for several years, but I'm interested in getting a travel cpap. I am not interested in switching from my dreamwear under the nose mask. This leads me to believe the Dreamstation go might be the best travel cpap for me. I am used to humidification and the heated tubing with my current set up. For those that use the Dreamstation go, do you miss the humidification? Does the air temperature seem too cool for comfort? I realize there is a separate humidification chamber that could be used, but it looks like adding bulk wouldn't be that much different than traveling with my full size unit. Any suggestions while I am researching for the travel unit?

You can use your current AirSense machine and check out no humidification and cooler temps just by turning off the humidifier and not using water in the chamber and turning off the heated hose.
See how you do with it. Some people do fine and some don't and we have no idea as to what will happen with you.
It might not be a big deal for you or you might find that your nasal mucosa does some serious rebelling about the whole thing and really needs the humidity.
