I am a new member and CPAP user. Honestly, when ever I had seen one of these at a customers house, I am a Service Plumber, it was always used by an older person. I never thought in a million yrs I would be looking in the mirror, though still young. I am still getting over the stigma.
I have an issue I just ran into... I have a Auto Dream Station with a humidifier and heated hose. I was woken up my second night using my machine by a gurgling noise. Being a Plumber, I checked the reservoir all good, then checked the heated hose thinking there was a trap in the hose, nope all good there as well. So, can anyone shed light as to what is causing this. I would really like some help here.
Thanks..
Gurgling noise
Re: Gurgling noise
Babies use cpap sometimes...it's not just for us old geezers.
Babies, toddlers, children, teenagers etc....not just old folks.
Gurgling noise...most likely water/moisture in the mask or hose.
Condensation or what we commonly call "rain out" is a common occurrence.
And it doesn't take much water to create a whole lot of racket. Maybe just a teaspoon of water will do it.
Read this...posts number 2 and 3 for various options on how to deal with it.

Easiest way ....since you have a heated hose just increase the hose air temp a bit and see if the gurgling stops.
Do make sure to take your hose off the machine and hang it upside down or totally vertical to let any water that might have pooled to drain out.

Re: Gurgling noise
Moisture in any hose will settle in the lowest section. (Think garden hose)
My hose is routed straight up from my face via a hose hanger,
and down to the machine, which sits lightly lower than my pillow.
Gravity does all the work.
