ResMed AirSense 11 - A sneak peak
Re: ResMed AirSense 11 - A sneak peak
Long thread and I may have missed it but what’s the size of the 11 and when will it be available for Canadians?

@mrfast and anyone else who may have gotten their hands on one, can you tell me if the cellular signal is any better than the AS 10? I know some people disable it, but I leave it enabled. Have very poor reception where my nightstand is. It sometimes interferes with my cell phone when trying to connect.

I haven't seen exact dimensions of the Air 11 yet. They look to have about the same foot print as the Air 10s. Here's a picture of both.

There still hasn't been an official announcement in the US, Canada or anywhere. The few that are in the wild are from select DMEs through a controlled launch.

I just picked up my quarterly supplies from the DME.
Their sales for Resmed machines are UP.

Re: ResMed AirSense 11 - A sneak peak
I talked to our sleep clinic yesterday, and they said they hadn't really paid much attention to the recall since they they only prescribe ResMed machines. She did admit that ResMed machines may be in short supply for a while as people try to change over to a different machine. I have been using this clinic since I started therapy, and I have only seen one person bring in a Philips machine. Everyone else has always brought in ResMed machines.

Re: ResMed AirSense 11 - A sneak peak
Has anyone heard if the algorithm in the eleven has changed or staying the same as the 10?

Re: ResMed AirSense 11 - A sneak peak
This post early on lists serial #s with Canadian tags suggesting same release date as USA. Also says same footprint as the S10. Then says this is a student engineering project.

I would gladly buy one or two unused S9s depending on the price.chunkyfrog wrote: ↑Sun May 09, 2021 11:26 pmNaturally, they are sitting on it.
They probably caught hell from DMEs who could not move S9s
because all the silly patients demanded Airsense 10s.
Gotta empty those warehouses!

If memory serves, the 'for her' algorithm was only in effect for pressures <10. I can't remember if it exists in the S9; the ugly pink makes me think it is but my range starts at 9.8 so I paid little attention to the 'for her' info, although I bought one when it was on sale years ago.

It is unclear what you are looking at. You may be looking at this student project which is (surprise) just a student project and has nothing to do with the ResMed new model - https://www.behance.net/gallery/100181435/ResMed-Air-11
Re: ResMed AirSense 11 - A sneak peak
The S9 for Her ugly pink machines didn't have the special for her algorithm...it was just an ugly pink with the same algorithm as the non pink S9 AutoSet.Muse-Inc wrote: ↑Thu Jul 01, 2021 12:36 amIf memory serves, the 'for her' algorithm was only in effect for pressures <10. The AirSense 10 AutoSet for Her...has 3 modes of operation...2 different auto adjusting algorithms and the fixed cpap mode .
The for Her mode doesn't have anything to do with pressures less than 10. That less than 10 thing is a whole different algorithm that was done away with when the S9 models came out.
Now for some people who need pressures over 12 the for her algorithm isn't the best choice but it's not a given and it's not the same thing as the old A10 algorithm.

But! In Canada, the pink one was easier to get?

The Air11 is not supported by ResScan.
