AHI getting worse

Post by Ainsleylips » Wed Mar 17, 2021 4:58 pm

Hello,

I have been on CPAP for 5+ years. I do not have an AHI over so technically i do not have apnea but I have long non breathing periods of 90 + Seconds which lowers my stats into very dangerous territory.

I also have aerophagia if my pressure is so high so have tried a variety of things such as F&P Sleep awake, Exhale pressures on different levels and so forth but if my pressure is too high I have terrible air pains and my stomach bloats terribly. It is quite painful and gross and wakes me. Invariably if my pressure is too high this happens.

My F&P broke a few weeks back and was using my little travel CPAP. AHI prior to breaking down was always under 5. When I was using the Air mini my AHI was as low as 2. Happy days

Pressure is set at 6-12

So got my new machine and set at same pressure and my AHI is sitting over 10 day in day out. I feel awful all the time. The sleep company has been tweaking it, it goes up to 15 and aerophagia sets in. Bottom pressure is currently at 8 but they have tried everything

Last night tried my mini out of desperation and I was AHI of 8.7

I am just so tired and dont know what to do

I will upload stats soon, just getting things underway on the software I see I need to download

please do. we'll need to see just what breakdown of events make up your ahi. without that data, we'd just be guessing and that won't do you any good.

what machine did you get?

Downloaded Oscar, put USB in and there are no logs. SO I guess I go to CPAP shop and ask why, then wait a few days and come back?
I have the F&P sleepstyle as I was told I need this for the sleep awake for the aerophagia (same as old machine) even though I have discovered it has been turned off anyway.

AirMini is NOT supported by OSCAR so that likely explains the lack of data.

I do not know if ResMed's software ResCan will work or not but it's Windows OS only software.
