Looking for help out there.

meh.. if ur software isnt up to date and ur not behind a securely locked router i dont care what OS ur on, its gonna happen. the fact that less people create viruses specifically for mac OS does not mean it is any more secure, it just means it has less problems to possibly encounter.

to me, the ability to play all the latest games, and use all the newest programs without having to wait 6 months for a mac version makes the few viruses i've seen worth the trouble. The fact that a very large chunk of the game development world uses 3dsmax as its software of choice, and they don't even make a MAC version kinda speaks loud enough for me. i simply couldn't even use a mac if i wanted to due to its lack of software options.

i wish apple made their excellent hardware design carry over into their software. i own a 30" monitor because at the time it was the only one, but it lacks seriously. No color controls on the monitor, no alternate video inputs, etc.. the dell 30" blows it away in comparison. i would love to have a 13" black macbook running boot camp of course. i own an ipod [whos battery decided to die frequently for no reason and has been sent back twice already].. seems the casings look great but the internals, whether it be overheating laptops, crappy ipod batteries, or poorly designed OS's.. well they just dont seem to work that well. My biggest complaint with mac os is that its built for stupid users with additional usefullness thrown in as an afterthought. any computer that is sold with only one mouse button seriously makes me wonder about its usefulness and its intended receipients [sp?].

the argument that their hardware was so superior went out the window when they gave up and started using pc hardware, obviously recognizing it as superior technology. like i said, winblows isnt the best thing out there but neither is mac os.

but we could go on all day with this age old argument. the difference between me and you is i defend the hardware, and can admit windows sucks, and you defend the whole package.. basically agreeing with me that the hardware is superior on pcs due to the fact that apple traded in. Mac OS is terribly designed, engineered for sub-par users and less functional for those of us power users.

I have one series of simple questions. if MAC's are so much better, why:
Did they switch to PC hardware?
Did they enable bootcamp so users could freely install windows?
Do they openly sell microsoft office programs built for their OS?

seems to me that they cant get away from the superior PC technology as a whole.

oh i should add.. i did try taping last night. wasnt as uncomfortable as i had thought. even with untrimmed facial hair [lazy]. had a little rainout i havent had in ages but other than that it was fine. will be a while until i acn see if that helps or not. also gonna try to get a tempurpedic pillow or something too since im a side sleeper.

i already have their biggest tempurpedic bed so hey, why not add the pillow... those darn beds are so expensive but so comfortable.
