Last night, I just cant get more than 4 hours with this thing, and the mask is becoming an issue. My mouth is dry as can be, very unpleasant. I am ready to give up :(

please don't.

for dry mouth try xylimelts, oral care section of your drugstore or at amazon.

these are wee lozenges that fit between teeth and gum, adhering to the teeth. the slowly dissolve overnight to promote saliva.

there are generic equivalents but i don't know about them because i only use the real deal.

hang in there.

you can do this.
people say i'm self absorbed.
but that's enough about them.

I appreciate your encouragement! I stuck it out, I bought a Dreamwear nasal cushion mask off Amazon. I used it last night, soooo much more comfortable than the full face mask. I was worried about mouth breathing but I went ahead anyway, it was too bad, some Somnifix tape will help lot. I actually feel pretty good this AM lol, I know there was a few minutes where I took mask off my face, but compared to the other nights this was the best for me, I CAN DO THIS!! Here's last nights OSCAR data.

i'll tell ya, finding the right mask is prolly THE most difficult part of the journey. as has been said, we are all such unique creatures. what works for me won't work for thee and so forth. glad you found something to keep you on the path.

now, you are going to find several different ways of approaching this. some use the somnifix. some use painters tape. still others have their own preferences.

i don't like the tape. i'm a full bearded guy and i will NOT shave. don't care what i have to go through. i haven't seen my face but once since i was 19. pretty sure things haven't gotten any more attractive under there since i last looked.

what i use is a method that a forum member came up with. here-

sorry my direct link got bombed but scroll down the page until jay starts talking about scuncis. i've been using this method to keep my lips together with a few modifications. this trick used in conjunction with a firm foam cervical collar has eliminated mouth breathing for me altogether.

you might want to look it over and see if it would be something you would like to try.
