Medicare coverage if you have to return CPAP
Medicare coverage if you have to return CPAP
Hi folks new to the forum. I was wondering if anybody else that’s on Medicare and actually I’m tricare for life also from my military retirement, has ever had to return their CPAP machine because it did not work out. I’ve been at it for three weeks now and I’m just starting to get the hang of it but my wife is very upset about the noise it makes. So I may have to return the machine and I was wondering what will happen. I’m using a medical distributor company that’s local. I’m not sure what their policy is but I do remember the technician telling me not to worry if I have to return the machine but I never asked the particulars and was just wondering what the procedure and policy is usually. Thanks much and if I continue to use it I will get support from this form in the future.

Re: Medicare coverage if you have to return CPAP
I think you will do best to call Medicare and ask them. The answer may be the reason it is returned.
I can tell you as long as you continue to use it TFL will pick up your co-pay.
Not sure what you meant by this...

Spell check in mentally . . . Whatever we're allowed to call it.

These newer machines are exceptionally quiet. I'm assuming that your wife is complaining about the mask exhaust or leaks. This can be fixed by possibly exchanging the mask for a different type. The mask exhausts the CO2 from your breath. If it hits a person, arm, pillow or blanket it makes noise. If you have Sleep Apnea you are sacrificing your health by failure to treat it.
