With the Remstar heated humidifier set at 2, I use the hose "naked" and have no problems with rainout in cold weather, even with the thermostat in the house turned down to 58 at night.

In warm weather at home, or when camping, I use the humidifier as a “passover” without the heat.

I've never had problems with condensation in my hose............no rainout. But I'm allergic to the plastisols in the tubing and made a flannel cover so it doesn't lay on my bare skin under the covers. (I'm naked, but my hose isn't!)

I use a heated humidifier & the Aussie hose, covered with the fleece ComfortSleeve in a cold bedroom. The Aussie hose has a permanently attached sweatshirt like fabric covering which can't be removed for cleaning and is not as soft as the fleece ComfortSleeve. Having the ability to remove and wash the ComfortSleeve is a blessing. Wouldn't be with out all three.

The Aussie hose with a ComfortSleeve cover works well for me.

Since I sleep in a heated waterbed, I use a fleece hose cover at this time. My fabulous new DME, gives everyone a "hose buddy" with a 6 foot hose. But, since I use a 10' hose, it doesn't work for me.

I also think it has nylon on the outside, which I am allergic to. It seems I'm allergic to lots of things.

I really like the style of it though, it has a zipper down the entire length of it. I'm gonna order one in the right length and then use fleece on the outside of it. (more insulation from the hose for me)

Caution! I brake for Elves, Fairies, Gnomes, Leprechauns, Unicorns, Dragons & and other invisible creatures only I can see!

Still using the Aura Everest that is prone to rainout so I have the Aussie heated hose.

I love my Aussie hose.

I have it covered with a fleece cover. I can wash the fleece cover.

Even in the summer, I will have the hose covered. A covered hose feels better on my skin.

As for the expense of the Aussie hose. Since I got the Aussie hose, I have been using a heated humidifer, just passover. I have save a lot of money not buying distilled water. My nose is no longer congested.

For me the Aussie hose is well worth for the better comfort.

I use climate line heated hose and a hose cover. I don't like the feel of plastic.

I use a flannel hose cover that I made from scrap material purchased at cloth shop for under $.50.. It is "camo design" so you can not see it...
