I have been using CPAPs faithfully since 2014 and within the past year was switched to a BIPAP.
I am convinced that in the past couple of years that my ability to breathe normally has been negatively impacted when I am awake and not using a CPAP/BIPAP .
Is it possible that there is a long term effect of having your airway and, ostensibly, your lungs themselves undergoing some type of expansion, stretching, or other transformation as a result of air pressure being forced in there on a daily basis?
I looked at alot of articles about long term use, but I didn't see anything where lung capacity was affected by pressure or difficulty breathing while awake was researched.
Can anyone point me to any studies relative to my concern or is anyone else experiencing the same issues as me?
CPAP effect on breathing when not in use?
