Resmed Airsense Autoset tubing blocked...

Post by joeljjk11 » Thu Jan 28, 2021 9:12 am

Past few nights I am getting a weird error that the tubing is blocked and the machine turns off. A google search of this says it could have to do with the Climateline tubing. I called my DME and they seemed to have no idea. Any one else experience this and figure out a solution? I use the Airfit P10 mask.

Since the tubing is transparent, I assumed you have looked for yourself.
If you have not taken the machine in to be examined in person, do so, at once.
They need to SEE it to believe you.
I suggest you put your equipment in the signature line, as the forum is still not showing it.

Which model machine? Your profile isn't showing up right now due to a forum software issue.
How old is the machine?

Have you tried unplugging the machine from the wall outlet and then plugging back in to force a system reboot?

There was a forced update some years ago because of this issue being a software issue....I think.
What is your machine showing as a software version?

It is the Sx567-0302 I think. It is from 2015 and is the Airsense Auto set 10.

Here is what it says in the ResMed Airsense Clinical Manual....
Tubing blocked, check your tubing
Air tubing may be blocked. Check the air tubing and remove any blockages. Press the
dial to clear the message and then press Start/Stop to
restart the device.

I tried unplugging it a few times but nothing happened. Also how do I update the software? After doing some Googling it looks like this is old software and has never been updated. I fiddled with the clinical settings and could not find anything, shouldn't my machine be automatically updating the software?

ResMed doesn't normally force an update to the machine software. They did do a special forced update a few years back because of (I think) this sort of issue but to be honest I don't remember exactly what it was.
There is no way that you can get the update unless it goes back to the factory.
And that's assuming that you are having the same problem that the update fixed.

DMEs won't be able to do it either. ResMed keeps all this stuff very close to their vest.

You might call acbio.com and see if they have access to the update and/or what they think.
They are now an authorized ResMed repair facility.

I wish I could remember what that forced update was for but it was several years ago and maybe about a year after the release of the AirSense 10 model. It is the only update that ResMed has ever forced over the airways that I know of in all my years knowing about ResMed.

Ugh well that is frustrating. Luckily I have a backup machine that I can use in a pinch. Looks like I am getting a new machine, oh well.

Have you tried running machine with tubing disconnected? Humidifier disconnected?

I had an appointment with my doctor today and she ordered me a new machine. Seemed to think it was on the fritz. Thanks for the help everyone.
