Small Blisters that leak then scab up..HELP

Hi everyone. I'm new to this forum but am desperate to get help. A few months ago I started getting small blisters/ sores under my nose and on the sides of my nose. I have to stop using my cpap (Nose mask)because of it and when they clear up, about a week later, and I wear it again and same thing happens. After calling my sleep doctor and my supplier and getting no help, I read online to get the liners to put around my nasal mask which I did and still no help, still getting sores. A friend suggested I try the pillow type mask and I did and that hasn't helped. I have a SoClean machine that I clean my cpap in everyday so I don't think it's because its dirty. Am I allergic to the silicone and if so what can I do? My hubby sleeps in the spare bedroom now because my gasping for air all night wakes him.

It would be helpful to know what mask you are using and when you last replaced it.

To me that sounds like either infection or blocked pores, but that's based on a few sentences from you...

Try a mask liner.
Noclean might be at fault.
Get rid of it.

I totally missed that, and the SoClean could absolutely be at fault! Besides, it's just ruining the machine.

The so clean machine does not clean the mask. You need to wash the mask in soap and water to clean dirt and oil off of it. The so clean may offer a degree of sterilization, but does nothing about removing dirt, oil, dead skin cells, etc.

This dirt, oil, dead skin cells, etc. are the cause of CONTACT DERMATITIS.
Using an unscented baby wipe is easy, cheap, and effective, and prevents this.
---All the crud that noclean leaves behind--(and maybe even what it ADDS) can irritate skin.
Ozone is bad for living things--except in the ozone layer.
So set that useless POS on the roof and run it day and night until it dies.
Consider it your possible contribution to the ozone layer.
