Making "bubbling" sounds with new machine
Making "bubbling" sounds with new machine
Hello everyone, first post here. I have been a Cpap user for 12 years. I recently bought a new ResMed airsense 10 adjustable cpap machine because my wife said I was being noisy with my old one. My pressure setting is 8 and I thought maybe by going to a adjustable machine it would help with the bubbling or gurgling sounds my wife said I was making. I've done everything from changing the pressure setting from 8 to 9 or 10 but nothing seems to help. Thought I would see if anyone here had any experience with this issue. I'm trying to avoid going back in for another sleep study. Any idea's would be appreciated.

Have you noticed any water or moisture in the mask or hose?

Re: Making "bubbling" sounds with new machine
You said "Airsense 10 adjustable"...Does your machine say "autoset"?. What are your current settings...they appear on your screen when you turn on the machine.
Gurgling usually means there is water in the hose. It comes from condensation...cool room and warm moist air in the hose. You can try getting a hose cover to insulate the hose or get a heated hose. Increasing the pressure will not do anything for condensation....you can try reducing the humidity or increasing the room temp.

IF you have water in your hose its normally a popping sound. You can get rid of the water by just lifting the hose higher than the humidifier.Limon wrote: ↑Mon Jan 11, 2021 3:02 pmHello everyone, first post here. I have been a Cpap user for 12 years. IF you had this bubbling sound with the old cpap and bought a new one thinking it would get rid of it? I think you should consult a Pulmonologist pronto.
